Set in 1968 in the dense forests of Khao Khwang, Thong Pha Phum, Kanchanaburi, the story follows Thap, an intelligence officer from the Black Panthers Division, who disappears deep in the jungle. Authorities send a military unit to search for him, led by Sergeant Paphan, Major Rit, and Yak, a hot-headed young soldier. They are joined by Nampetch, a beautiful female forest ranger and Sergeant Paphan's only daughter. The local villagers believe a large man-eating tiger named Ai Hong stalks the jungle, a Suea Saming—a supernatural tiger possessed by a demonic spirit, seemingly impossible to kill. Yak must find the missing officer and protect Nampetch from the tiger.

Death Whisperer: Saming the Werebeast is significant as a prequel to the Death Whisperer trilogy, set four years before the events of the first film in 1972. It marks the first meeting of Yak and Sergeant Paphan, who later develop a partnership hunting supernatural entities in the subsequent Death Whisperer films. The film is based on the novel Saming Khao Khwang by Krittanon, originally posted on Pantip.com in 2017. The film was announced at the Death Whisperer III press conference, with its first poster released in mid-May 2026 and its first official trailer in mid-August 2026.
